Welcome!

Welcome sir or madam! I'll kick it right off by introducing you to why this homepage exists.
The simple answer is; for testing purposes! I created it to display and test the Orion's Belt jquery plugin I'm currently writing.

It's mostly used as a menu, but can also be used to show off a reel of any kind of thing. It has 4 alignment settings: left, right, top and bottom. Check back again soon, as I will also provide you with a controller to change the settings of the menu in realtime, to see what you can do with it.
When it's aligned to the left, as you can see , it looks like any sort of menu. It has some nice effects when you hover your mouse over it,and the whole block is a link. The content of every link, has an image, in this case. But that can easily be changed to only contain text, in example. There is also a description field, that animates to show up when you hover your mouse over the item.
This provides a brief description of what this links to, or whatever the item is used for.

So, it can be used to support some sort of image gallery, for instance. What you attach to each item is up to you. I'm also going to write some direct support to ajax queries, so whomever uses it doesen't have to do anything but set ajax to true in the settings, and provide the url for the query.

At the time of writing, I only have one intro animation that you saw when you entered this page. It slides up into place. I'm going to support more interesting into's, but not until I have optimized and gotten to a stage of solid foundation.

Now, that is of course not the only reason. I decided my portfolio page needed an overhaul - plus I wanted to have a more in-depth home-page. So to visit my portfolio, you go to the menu! I also provide a quick and easy-to-see link to it further down.

Now then, you can browse through the site via the Orion's Belt on your left, but do expect to see construction in progress and perhaps even broken links!

A few sidenotes…

This site - as I can imagine you noticed - is under early development, and is hosted for online testing purposes.

So it's worth mentioning that it probably won't look as good on handheld devices just yet, and that bugs might occur.
I'm also using work-files, meaning, css files and some javascripts are not compressed. So load-times can vary.

If you're extra friendly, forward me an email if you would happend to notice something fatally wrong, unless it's broken links.

By the way…
